Two teams in crisis met on the field on Saturday. Arsenal had lost to Barcelona in a manner that, with all due respect to their awesome rivals, was embarrassingly one-sided. This followed a bad league result (scoreless tie against Sunderland at home), and a defeat to a lowly Birmingham in the Carling Cup final.
Manchester United had lost a hard fought match against Chelsea, and were outplayed by arch-rival Liverpool while losing its star, Nani, to a critical injury. It’s comfortable Premier League lead has evaporated.
The teams’ manager reactions were extremely opposite: United’s Alex Ferguson imposed a media blackout. Arsenal launched a media offensive on the referees and UEFA.
In other words: United admitted it was in crisis.

WHAT TO DO NOW?
