Could Ronaldo Have Succeeded in Barcelona?

Could it be that the Barcelona system is designed only for ego-less men?

Cristiano Ronaldo is an all action hero. A muscular, handsome, talented movie star. His good looks are as lethal as the thunderbolts exploding out of his extravagant colorful boots. He’s fit, and he knows it.

But don’t let looks deceive you. He is a hard worker and a good teammate. The question is, could a physical specimen like Ronaldo fit into the Barcelona system? Could a man with a high maintenance ego fit into an organic style like Barca’s? Can Ronaldo be a humble servant of a system like Leo Messi is?

This brings me to ask a few questions: Is there a reason ego-filled players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic can’t make it at Barcelona? Is there a reason why Barcelona is a group of small, mostly unattractive men?

Could it be that the Barcelona system is designed for ego-less men? Can you imagine Xavi,  Andres Iniesta, Leo Messi as tall and handsome players that show off their abs after scoring?

Pep Guardiola and Barca’s management are worried that Barca’s stars might be getting too famous. One of the reasons Gerard Piqué might leave the club this summer is that they think he is too focused on his celebrity persona.

It  is absolutely essential for Barcelona’s stars to be professional,  grounded,  mat, almost clerk-like boring. Children of the system  can’t be genuine  superstars because the system is the only superstar in Barca’s dressing room.

    Cristiano is the best in the whole world…..he made it in 3 teams….he was the all super star hero of the three teams ( Manu-sporting-real)…..i think a player like him can prove him self even on another planet…..unlike leo messi…who only played for barca….and i think that leo wouldn’t have been so famous or so talented if he moves to another club !!!!

    I think a player like ronaldo….can make it in all teams of the world…he can lead the team to the best titles….although i am a barca fan…but to be honest…he is one the best players in the history……i think that you might be right that messi can’t make it if he moves to another club…but he is one of the best players ever who made a great remark in football…..it’s a great compition between those two players…….as realmadrid fans fear messi….we barca fans too fear roanldo….i think ronaldo would have been great in barca!!

    Are we going to see Carlos Tévez in Barca next year?
    Anyway, it seems that being “clerk-like” is helping those players to become real superstars.

    Ronaldo can lead any team to succes..he is brilliant and talented…he proved it in 3 clubss…but i dnt leo can do lik tat.he s only suit fr barca…..

    Hard to see Cristiano quietly sitting on the bench (due to squad rotation) and even harder to see him celebrating a goal with non pompous joy with his Barca team mates. But stranger things have happened in football.

    Those that want to argue about Messi-Cristiano debate (I refuse to call him Ronaldo, there is only one!) I have something for you to ponder; LONGEVITY – when the pace is gone, at 31, Messi with his intelligence and low centre of gravity, balance will become a ball passing number 10, instigating attacks around the opposition “D”. What will Cristiano become? Anything is possible (who knew Giggs would one day play centrally) but I can’t imagine him becoming playmaker (playmaker in the correct sense of the word).

    cristiano can play in any team but messi is not much adaptable…….u try placing messi in other teams non productive…..he’s adaptable to the trio only…..xavi,iniesta n abidal(sergio,pedro,etc).

    I thnk ronaldo can play in ny team….bt i thnk messi cant…!!
    i’m a ronaldo fan bt i think messi is also a great footballer bt if he had not got the support of xavi or iniesta he would not hav been such a good player….!!

    this is the only reason i think messi can only play in barca bt ronaldo in any team….!!

    Ronaldo is a good player but not the greatest,u say messi cant be good in other teams, u cant say so because u havent observed it yet,though cr7 would really look beautiful in barcas game and in there,and he would fit along with messi
