What’s Next For Pep?

He needs to rest for a year and then join Arsenal

Pep Guardiola. 2008 vs 2012

Look at these pictures. They tells the whole story.

Pep Guardiola has aged a lot in the four years he coached Barcelona. It’s because he is a workaholic and a perfectionist, who is emotionally invested in his work place – the club he supports and loves. He has worked so hard during those four years, it was not uncommon for him to forget about taking a lunch break. He has often been seen leaving his office long after the sun came down.

So what’s next for him?

He needs a rest. He needs to learn new tricks and refresh his belief in himself and his theories. After a year out, he should return to a club that has “a way”. A club that has a solid youth policy and enough patience to let him work the way he thinks is right. He needs to come to a club with a first squad that’s desperate for an upgrade.

He needs to join Arsenal.
